Greenhouse Gas Reduction Targets (November 2001)
"This
report...uses case studies of a variety of companies that have established
climate-related targets for reducing their emissions and/or energy use
to show how the adoption of such targets, along with concerted efforts
to meet them, can help improve performance and bottom-line results. All
of the profiled companies view their efforts to set and meet climate-related
targets as a way to reduce production costs and enhance product sales
today. The companies also report that, in working to achieve their targets,
they are improving their prospects for success under future regulatory
and market environments."

Change Impacts on the United States: The Potential Consequences of Climate
Variability and Change (2000)
"The U.S. National Assessment of the Potential
Consequences of Climate Variability and Change for the Nation provides
a detailed understanding of the consequences of climate change for the
nation and examines mechanisms for adaptation."
This Assessment was called for by a 1990 law, and has been conducted under
the US Global Change Research Program in response to a request from the
President's Science Advisor.
